Redevelopment trade and tourism for the city of Cividale

Scope: Project development and urban regeneration: creating the conditions for reading and operation of the urban center of Cividale in terms of open-air shopping center, also in view of its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage.
Year: anni 2007 - 2008

THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT TRADE AND TOURISM SECTOR OF THE CITY OF Cividale del Friuli: "Cividale del Friuli, A SHOPPING CENTRE IN THE OPEN", which took place as a result of the financing obtained under Law 266/97 has been acted out according to the following partition time:

  1. By July 2008, the performance of all the planned investigations, and production of a first report in draft form for use within the City and Tertiary Cat Udine as a partner, aimed at starting the discussion on some of the themes of the redevelopment project;
  2. during the second half of 2008, development of the comparisons and insights aimed to develop the whole project in its valences proposals.

The scan indicated time allowed to spend a reasonable amount of time and to the conduct of the various surveys placed on the agenda, that the discussion and the hypothesis of proposals. The work can be summarized in the following points:

In particular, the project files that have developed 8 intervention scenarios, characterized by different degrees of complexity and timing, which set out to address in several respects the theme of urban regeneration in the center of Cividale del Friuli.

Objectives of the project:

ANALYTICAL

- To collect first-hand information, hitherto not available on attitudes and behavior of households and firms at the basin level;

- Draw an outline of the commercial and paracommerciali operating in Cividale del Friuli, also in terms of sector, georeferenziandone siting;

- Investigate volumes and expenditure flows, to limit phenomena such as the "evasion" for consumption and entertainment.

PROACTIVE:

- To promote urban regeneration, or the mix of redevelopment and enhancement of the physical spaces of the economic activities of Cividale del Friuli;

- Propose a range of interventions "light" urban marketing characterized by concreteness, feasibility, effectiveness, relatively small size;

- Among them, encourage the creation of a new "gateway" to the city center, starting from the former cement works.
