Today the traditional urban planning according to many observers has lost sight of its ultimate goal, the well-being of residents and city users in general, in favor of obsolete rules and mechanisms compared to the dynamics of change. We need to completely rethink the approach to local land development. A popular solution in recent years (with alternate success) is strategic planning.
Unfortunately, the "Plan" itself is a concept more and more likely to be overwhelmed by events.
Sincron Polis working team has developed analysis systems and approaches that confirm the most effective aspects of strategic planning (development of a vision upstream urban planning, involvement and participation from below, multidisciplinarity), adding to them the new concept of Smart City.
